NEPSE records significant loss of 45.59 points on Tuesday

KATHMANDHU: The Share market index Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has declined by 45.59 points on Tuesday.

The trading hours began as the NEPSE index opened at 2,065 points and at the end of the trading hours, the index closed at 2,020.23 points.

The Sensitive Index fell by 11.24 points to settle at 389 points at the end of this trading day.

The index had lost 12.89 points on Monday, the first trading day of the week.

A total of Rs 1.31 billion has been transacted through trading of 3,887,748 units of shares of 228 companies via 28,959 transactions on the second day of this trading week.

Investors of 181 companies lost huge amounts of money in the share market today while shareholders of 15 companies made some profit.

The share price of two companies — Balefi Hydropower Company and Upkaar Microfinance — witnessed a positive circuit.

Only the share price of Himalaya Bank recorded a negative circuit of 10 percent on Tuesday. The share price of Himalaya Bank fell to Rs 323 by losing Rs 38.5.
