Man killed after falling from vehicle used for election campaign



SALYAN: A man has died after falling from the roof of a vehicle used for the election campaign by the Nepali Congress at Kalimati Rural Municipality-2 in the district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Khumraj Thapa Magar, 18, Thapa, who sustained head injuries died at a hospital in Tulsipur, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Sumit Khadka, chief of the district police office, Salyan.

He was travelling on a jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4599) used for the poll campaign when the accident occurred.

The vehicle and its driver have been under police control and investigations were underway, said the police.
