Government recommends appointment of ambassadors to 20 countries

The government has recommended the appointment of ambassadors to 20 different countries.

A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday evening decided to recommend ambassadors to 20 vacant countries.

According to a source, the appointment of ambassadors has been recommended by the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in eight countries and political appointments in 12 countries.

Advocate Govinda Bandi appointed Law Minister

Advocate Govinda Bandi has been appointed Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Bandi (Govinda Prasad Sharma) as the Law Minister as per the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Bandi has been recommended in the place of incumbent Law Minister Dilendra Prasad Badu.

Nepal introduces typhoid vaccine into routine immunization program

The government launched a new vaccine campaign introducing Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine (TCV) into the routine immunization program across the country on Thursday, with the support from Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and other partners.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the campaign introducing TCV into the routine immunization program across country amidst a program, in Kathmandu, on Thursday.

Suspended CJ Rana’s predetermined honorary title to be halted

The government has decided not to confer Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana with the earlier decided honorary title following his suspension.

The government had decided to confer a coveted honorary title ‘Mahaujjwal Rastradeep’ on Rana six months ago.
