NEPSE closes green with over 30 points gain on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The stock market witnessed double digits gain on Thursday.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed at 2,464.35 points on the last trading day of the week after gaining 35.69, registering 1.47 percent rise in stock prices. The index had lost 23.41 points Wednesday.

The index opened at 2,427.97 and did not trade lower throughout today. Meanwhile, the intraday high was 2,475.78 points.

A total of 5,444,738 units of shares of 224 companies traded hands via 42,506 transactions, resulting in total turnover of Rs 2.12 billion. Yesterday, the turnover was of Rs. 1.99 billion.

All 13 sub-indices closed green at the end of this trading week.
