Nepal sees 88 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 29 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 88 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Monday. There was one coronavirus-related death in the country in the last 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases today, 66 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 22 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, one coronavirus-related death has been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,948 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu valley witnessed 29 coronavirus cases in past 24 hours with five 22 cases in Kathmandu, one in Bhaktapur and six in Lalitpur district.

Currently, there are 6,150 active cases in the country as 376 infected patients recovered.
