Five including a newborn found dead in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: Five members of the same family, including a newborn and its mother, were found dead mysteriously in a remote village of Lalitpur on Monday.

According to SSP Basanta Kunwar, four persons were found dead in Konjyosyom -4, Nallu, Lalitpur while one died while undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital.

SSP Kunwar informed that 55-year-old Kaili Syangtan, 9-year-old Ashish Syangtan, 24-year-old Sushma Syangtan and 7-year-old Ashma Syangtan were found dead at the spot.

He said that Shubh Syangtan and the newborn baby were taken to the hospital after the locals informed the police. The baby died in hospital while its mother is still undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The police said that further investigation was underway into the incident.
