NC District Convention: Voting taking place in Rautahat, Sarlahi, Dhanusha and Siraha today

GAUR: The voting is taking place under the district convention of the Nepali Congress in Rautahat and Sarlahi today.

The district convention in Rautahat had been stalled after a vote-rigging was suspected in the election held at Juddha Secondary School in Gaur on Saturday.

The voting has been scheduled for today following an agreement reached among the district level leaders.

Sunil Yadav is contesting the election for the post of district president from the establishment side while Hridayanarayan Yadav has been fielded for the post by the non-establishment side (Koirala group).

Similarly, the voting is taking place to elect the NC Sarlahi District Working Committee of Nepali Congress today.

Surendra Prasad Singh is in the fray for the post of district president from the establishment side and Laxman Raya has filed his candidacy for the post from the Koirala group.

NC Sarlahi district has already published the voter-list.

Likewise, there is a possibility of a tripartite clash for the posts of president in Dhanusha. Leaders Yogendra Panjiyar, Santosh Yadav and Dinesh Yadav are expected to compete for the presidentship. Panjiyar is considered close to Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi.

The Yadav duo, on the other hand, are running for the post from a non-establishment group.

Ram Chandra Yadav from the establishment side and Ram Sundar Chaudhary from the non-establishment side are vying for the post of president in Siraha.
