Five persons missing in Chandragiri hill rescued

KATHMANDU: Five persons of a family, including children, who were missing in the Chandragiri hill while going for snow fun, were rescued by police personnel at 1:00 last night.

Police personnel from Metropolitan Police Range, Thankot, Metropolitan Police Office, Bhrikutimandap, and Disaster Management Unit, Samakhusi, were deployed in the rescue mission.

The team safely rescued Rita Gurung, 23, Sauvagya, 15, Sahaj, 13, Jenisha, 11, and Yarbin, 7, of a single-family residing in at Mahadevsthan in Chandragiri Municipality-6.

Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali said they were rescued five hours after they lost track. Mainali shared all five persons were handed over to their family after carrying out their health checkups.
