Dr. Mahat appointed as NC Spokesperson

KATHMANDU: Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has been given the responsibility of the spokesperson of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) party.

According to NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed Dr. Mahat the party spokesperson on Monday.

Mahat had contested for the post of General Secretary from Deuba-panel in the party’s 14th General Convention held in Kathmandu. However, he had been unable to get elected to the post.
