Electricity, communication services resume in Myagdi



MYAGDI: Electricity and communication services of Gurja at Dhaulagiri rural municipality in Myagdi district that were obstructed due to snowfall that occurred on Thursday and Friday have resumed.

Chairperson of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-1, Jhak Chhantyal, said that the electricity and communication services have resumed after three days after carrying out repair and maintenance of the equipment with the help of locals.

The snowfall that occurred on February 3 morning had damaged the electricity and communications-related equipment.

Gurja area is still witnessing more than three feet of snow, he shared.

Similarly, efforts are underway to resume the trekking route from Lulang to Gurja obstructed due to snowfall, added Chhantyal.
