KATHMANDU: The list of candidates who have registered their nominations for the elections of National Assembly (NA) members is being published today.
The Election Commission (EC) is making preparations to publish the preliminary list of candidatures at 3 pm today following verification.
The candidates can withdraw their names by Saturday following the publication of their name-list.
The final-list of the candidates will be published on Sunday (January 9) and that they will be provided with election symbols on the same day, said the EC.
Forty-three candidates from nine political parties on Tuesday had filed nominations for 19 vacant posts of the NA members.
According to EC Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma, no complaints have been lodged against any candidates. The elections will be held on January 26.
