SUNSARI: Two people have died after being hit by a passenger bus at Tarahara of Itahari Sub Metropolitan City-20 in Sunsari district.
The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old motorcyclist Santosh Rai and pillion rider Abhi Rai, 20 of Khandbari municipality-7.
Critically injured Santosh and Abhi breathed their last in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
The bus, Pradesh 1-02-001 Kha 8196, heading to Dharan from Itahari had struck the motorcycle, Ko 27 Pa 219, at 7 pm yesterday.
Police have impounded the bus and its driver and are investigating the case.
