KATHMANDU: Main opposition CPN-UML is holding district conventions today.
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is inaugurating the district conventions virtually to be held in all 77 districts of the country at one go.
UML is holding district conventions and province conventions after concluding the 10th General Convention of the party.
According to Bishnu Paudel, the deputy chief of central publicity department, Chairman Oli will inaugurate the district convention from the central party office, Thapathali.
UML has dispatched a circular to motivate the delegates for unanimous leadership selection in the convention and to adopt the method of election in case of disagreement.
A central committee meeting of the UML had decided to hold district conventions on January 7 and January 22.
