Prakanda meets Home Minister, demands release of CPN leaders in jail

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ has put pressure on the government to withdraw the cases against its party leaders and activists and release them from jail immediately.

CPN Spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma ‘Prakanda’ met with Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and demanded immediate release of its leaders and workers.

Prakanda insisted that the government should address their demands.

He said that since the current government has resolved the legal complications and dismissed the cases against CPN leaders and workers and released them from prison, the government has been pressured to implement it quickly.

On the other hand, Home Minister Khand also said that the government is sincere and committed to solving the problem.
