Shashank Koirala vows to work for resolving Kerunge river issues



NAWALPARASI EAST: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shashank Koirala has pledged to take initiation to resolve the issues caused by the local Kerunge River at Kawasoti municipality in Nawalparasi.

The river that connects wards no 4 and 5 of Kawasoti has been a sorrow of the Kawasoti folks as thee results in the disasters each year.

The locals are forced to deal with a flood each year from the river.

The leader inspected the river and made this commitment.

He is contesting in the House of Representatives (HoR) election from the Nawalpur constituency-1.

During the visit, local Ramila Bhujel said the river is causing the losses of lives and property, keeping them in a constant fear of consequences as it lacks a dam.
