Nepal sees 28 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 28 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 26 cases were detected through the RT-PCR method and two through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,879 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the total samples, 1,219 were tested through RT-PCR and 660 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 570 active cases in the country as 18 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
