Helambu-Melamchi road obstructed by landslide

MELAMCHI: Helambu-Melamchi and Panthpokhari roads have been obstructed by flooding and a landslide caused by continuous rain.

Flooding at Gyalthum, Chanaute, Talamarang and Simkhet has blocked the Helambu-Melamchi road disrupting transportation. As a result, vehicles heading to Kathmandu have been stuck.

Similarly, flooding swept away two excavators parked along the road at Melamchi-11 and damaged the Melamchi drinking water project, said local people.

Likewise, a landslip obstructed the Bhotechaur-Kaule road and the road at Tipeni of Panchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality-8.
