Five arrested with drugs



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested five people from Kailali, Jhapa and Parsa districts along with illegal drugs.

A man has been arrested from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-9, Gaurikatan of Kailali district along with one gram of illegal drug which looks like brown sugar.

Police arrested Prem Tamrakar, 23, of Kailali.

Police from the District Police Office, Kailali, found Prem with the drug and arrested him.

Similarly, police have arrested a man with 8 grams of illegal drug brown sugar near Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-2 Trinagar Barrel in Kailali.

Dharma Badaula, 29, of Godavari Municipality-12 was arrested by the police on Tuesday afternoon.

Badaula, who was riding a scooter (Se 7 Pa 6237) at the District Police Office, Kailali, was found with the drugs.

Police have also arrested a man from Mechinagar Municipality-6 of Jhapa with about 9 grams of heroin.

The arrested is Milan Darji, 22, of Morang Pathari Shanischare Municipality.

The tailor, who was on his way to Nepal from India, was arrested by a joint police team deployed by the Area Police Office, Kankarvitta and the Drug Control Bureau, Kakarvitta.

Likewise, police arrested two persons from Birgunj Metropolitan City-28 Bagahi of Parsa district on Tuesday evening along with 90 kilograms of cannabis.

Among the arrested are 30-year-old Rabikant Bharti and 28-year-old Sunil Bharti from India.
