Indian nat’l held with Rs 750,000 with undisclosed source



SARLAHI: An Indian national has been arrested with Rs 750,000 whose source is yet to be disclosed.

The arrested is Bishwanath Mahato, 40, of Sonvarsha-2, Gram Panchayat, Sitamarhi, Bihar, India. According to the police, 750,000 Nepali rupees were recovered from him.

According to the police, Mahato could not provide the source of the recovered money. Mahato was arrested from Brahampuri rural municipality-4, Tribhuvannagar on Sunday evening while returning to Nepal on a motorcycle with Indian number plate BR 30 E 3914 from Sonbarsa Bazaar in India.

According to Bijaya Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police, four bundles of Rs 1,000 notes and seven bundles of Rs 500 notes were recovered from the spot.
