Top leaders of ruling coalition holding meeting in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the ruling coalition are engaged in discussions after the CPN (Unified Socialist) abruptly recommended new names for the reshuffle of the cabinet.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal and Janata Samajwadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav are holding discussions at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

Prime Minister Deuba is dissatisfied with Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal’s latest decision.

He complained that the decision to change ministers is not appropriate at a time when the ministers have not been able to respond to the budget.

Unified Socialist Chairman Nepal on Sunday called back four ministers and one state minister and recommended new names from his party.

The Unified Socialist’s move to recommend new names for the ministers has piled pressure on other parties in the government.

Rumors are circulating that Maoist Center’s leaders have also started putting pressure on the party leadership.

In today’s discussion, the top leaders will also discuss the date of the House of Representatives election and how to form an alliance on it.
