RPP holds election assemblies in eight places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kavre

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has held election assemblies in eight various places of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Banepa, Kavre, on Friday.

RPP assemblies were held in Dhapakhel and Lubhu of Lalitpur; Banepa of Kavre; Mulpani, Gothatar, Boudha and Shankharapur of Kathmandu.

RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that a rally was held in Ason, Kathmandu, on Friday evening.

RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden participated in all eight meetings held in Kathmandu Valley and Banepa.

A rally with the participation of RPP mayor and deputy mayor candidates of Kathmandu Metropolitan City as well as candidates for the post of chairperson of all 32 wards of the metropolics was also taken out before the assembly at Ason. The rally that started from Sundhara passed through Basantapur, Naradevi, Kshetrapati and turned into an assembly at Ason.

RPP has intensified its campaign for the local elections to be held on May 13.

Spokesperson Shrestha said the RPP also held six meetings in Jhapa on Wednesday following which Chairman Lingden reached Ilam the next day.

Similarly, the RPP chair is to attend an election assembly in Pokhara and Nepalgunj on Saturday and in Hetauda on Sunday.
