Nepal Airlines receives permission to fly to Saudi Arabia



KATHMANDU: The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) has received flight permit to Saudi Arabia.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has given permission to Nepal Airlines to fly to the country from its office in Riyadh on Sunday, said Archana Khadka, spokesperson of Nepal Airlines.

“The official flight permit was received in the presence of Nepal Airlines Executive Chairman Yuvraj Adhikari,” a statement issued by Khadka said.

According to the flight permit, Nepal Airlines will be able to fly to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah of Saudi Arabia.

The national flag carrier said it would start weekly three flights on the Kathmandu-Riyadh-Kathmandu route as early as April 2022 as per the business plan.

Nepal Airlines had been preparing to fly on this route for long and had been seeking permission.
