World Hindu Federation calls to reinstate Nepal as Hindu state

CHITWAN: Religious leaders have spoken about the need for a religious movement they said to exert pressure for reinstating Nepal as a Hindu State.

Participants of a gathering organized by the World Hindu Federation at Bharatpur of Chitwan Wednesday expressed concern over the ‘imposition’ of secularism in the country.

Federation central chair Dr Ramchandra Adhikari said the movement to restore the Hindu state should be launched from Chitwan and made nationwide.

He utilized the forum to claim that there remained no dispute about the leadership in the Federation and the dispute surfaced in its international committee was proceeded towards the solution.

Federation general secretary Ganesh Prasad Neupane called for unity among like-minded people for the protection of the religion. He accused that Nepal was dismissed as the Hindu state due to the vested interests of political parties.

As he argued, the Vedic Sanatan religion believes in the equal existence of all religions and that was why Nepal should be re-declared as the Hindu nation.

Federation secretary Netranath Poudel urged the masses to vote for the party carrying the agenda of Nepal as a Hindu state in the upcoming election. He was of the view of banning the supply and consumption of meat and alcohol in the religious areas to keep the glory of the Hindu religion intact.

According to him, he is ready to lead the movement for the Hindu state from Chitwan and needs supports from all the like-minded people.
