Tanahu sees the rise in dengue cases

DAMAULI: The cases of dengue disease are on rise in Tanahu even with the onset of winter season.

Hospitals in the district headquarters are crowded with dengue patients with increasing cases of dengue patients.

Chief of Damauli Hospital, Dr Diwas Dhakal, said 88 persons were detected with dengue till date from October 18. Cent per cent dengue was confirmed while conducting 215 sample tests, he added. Dengue was detected in the district from mid-September and it was confirmed on 101 people from September 17-October-17.

Similarly, Chief of Health Office, Tanahu, Shankar Babu Adhikari, shared that efforts were on to control dengue infection.

All 10 local levels in the district have been launching various programs including destroying larva, maintaining cleanliness and creating public awareness, added Adhikari.

The Office has also requested one and all to keep their surrounding clean as dengue is transmitted from mosquito bite.
