Speaker Sapkota nominated from Sindhupalchowk-1



KATHMANDU: Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota has been nominated for the upcoming general election from constituency no 1 of Sindhupalchowk district.

Speaker Sapkota will be contesting the HoR election scheduled for November 20.

The full meeting of Maoist Centre regional coordination committee Sindhupalchowk recommended candidates to contest in the HoR and Provincial Assembly.

In addition to Speaker Sapkota, Phulam Tamang and Madhav Sapkota have also been nominated to contest for HoR from constituency-1 in the first past the post category while Punya Prasad Parajuli has been nominated from the same constituency under the proportional category (Khas Arya group).

Likewise, Saral Sahayattri has been unanimously nominated to contest the election from Provincial Assembly (A) under the first past the post category.

For Provincial Assembly (B), Ambika Nepal Chandra Sapkota, TN Sapkota and Pratap C Tamang were recommended to vie under the first past the post category.
