Israeli Ambassador Goder pays courtesy call on Minister Shrestha



KATHMANDU: A courtesy meeting took place between Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Shashi Shrestha, and Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Goder, in Kathmandu Friday.

During the meeting, Minister Shrestha viewed there had been expansion in various dimensions, including the development of bilateral relations and assistances between Nepal and Israel while their mutual cooperation, harmony, memorandum of understanding and friendly ties had strengthened during the period of six decade of diplomatic relations between the two countries, it has been said.

Nepal could learn much from Israel ‘which has achieved prosperity through cooperatives’ as the former has pursued the way to increase production through cooperatives by properly utilizing land, she stressed.

In return, Ambassador Goder said the technology Israel has used in agriculture could be useful for Nepal as the country has potentiality in natural resources and agriculture.

For Nepal, technology in land management and agriculture could play an important role, he underscored.
