KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by double digits on Tuesday.
The market declined by 46.08 points and stopped at 2030.59 points today, the stock market came to a halt at 2076.67 points on Monday.
The transaction amount has also come down on Tuesday as compared to Monday. A total of Rs 2.96 billion was traded on Tuesday. On Monday, the turnover was Rs 4.349 billion.
A total of 8,613,489 shares of 229 companies were traded in 49,416 transactions on Tuesday.
Even in the declining market, the price of CYC Nepal Microfinance has seen a positive circuit. Prices of Nyagdi Group Power, Andhikhola Microfinance, Swabhiman Microfinance, Union Hydropower and other companies witnessed a rise today.
Share prices of companies including Ghalemdi Hydropower, Divyashwori Hydropower, Azod Insurance Limited, CEDB Hydropower Company, and Shiva Shree Hydropower declined sharply.
