Lightning kills 2, injures 9 in Pyuthan



PYUTHAN: The lightning has struck two dead and injured nine people in Pyuthan district Monday night.

According to DSP Satya Narayan Thapa, Roman Pariyar (7), and Kiran Pariyar (12) of Airawati-6, Bijulikot were struck dead by the lightning.

DSP Thapa informed that both Roman and Kiran were rushed to District Hospital in Bijuwar after being struck by lightning and both died while undergoing treatment.

Nine others are injured in similar incidents across the district.

Nine other people who sustained injuries in lightning strikes in wards 1 and 6 of the district are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Of them, one is said to be critical.
