KATHMANDU: Tree planting has taken place in Chandragiri Municipality-6 in Kathmandu on the occasion of the World Environment Day being observed across the country.
The tree planting program was organized by the Chandragiri Riders Club.
Speaking on the occasion, the municipality mayor Ghana Shyam Giri said that the government would accord high priority to protect environment and make the municipality full of greenery by planting trees.
“Bicycle trails will be constructed and expanded in the municipality to further promote tourism,” he said.
