Home Minister Khand directs security agencies to organize election peacefully



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand has directed security agencies to help organize the May 13 local election in a fair and impartial way as the government has shouldered the responsibility to this effect.

Speaking at a gathering of Nepali Congress (NC) cadres at Rajbiraj in Saptari district on Thursday, Minister Khand, also an NC leader, urged all political parties to participate in the poll in a cordial way.

Claiming that changes in the country would be accelerated following the election, he urged people to vote for the NC for safeguarding and strengthening democracy.
