We have made Bharatpur proud: Renu Dahal



KATHMANDU: Renu Dahal, CPN-Maoist Center candidate vying for mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City for her second stint, has claimed that tasks accomplished during her first five-year term were such that they have made Bharatpur proud.

She had been elected mayor of Bharatpur metropolis in 2017 local level election held for the first time after the country adopted federalism.

Addressing a mass gathering organized by the ruling coalition in Bharatpur on Thursday, she said, “In past five years, we have been able to face the opposition without having to bow our heads. We have uplifted Bharatpur to make it a place of pride.”

She added that if re-elected, she would give continuity to various pride projects started in the metropolis.

Dahal also said that she tried her best to work as metropolis residents’ representative during her first stint as mayor.
