Rain amidst thunderstorms forecast in hilly terrain

Valley witnesses rain



KATHMANDU: Rainfall has occurred in various parts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley.

While the rain occurred in the federal capital since Wednesday night, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast partly to generally cloudy weather with chances of light rains in the hilly terrains of the country towards the afternoon.

Similarly, the Division has forecast light to moderate rains amidst thunderstorms at some places of Pradesh 1, Madesh Pradesh, and Bagmati Pradesh, and a few places in the rest of the country tonight.

Currently, the local, westerly, and low-pressure system formed in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh to the plains of West Bengal is having an impact on the weather system of the Himalayan nation.
