342 people from 13 mountaineering groups climbing mountains this spring



KATHMANDU: The Department of Tourism (DoT) has given 342 people of 13 mountaineering teams, including four cleaning teams, the permission for this year’s spring mountaineering.

According to the Department, 342 people got permission from the Department till Monday. One can apply for mountaineering permission till May 14.

The DoT informed that among the people allowed for mountaineering, there are 81 females and 261 males. The department has collected Rs 180.08 million as revenue from the climbing.

The 13 mountains picked by the mountaineers this are Gangapurna, Himalung, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Thapapik, Amadabalam, Lhotse, Nupse, Sagarmatha (Mt.Everest), Kanchenjunga, Mukot and Makalu.
