MoFA section officer dies after being hit by motorcycle in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) section officer Astha Subba has died after being hit by a motorcycle in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, yesterday evening.

A motorcycle bearing number 3-02-008 P 3617 heading from Hanumansthan to Anamnagar Chowk hit Subba as she was walking along the road on Thursday evening.

Seriously injured in the accident, Subba died at Kathmandu Model Hospital in Bagbazar at around 7 pm, according to Police Circle Singha Durbar.

The rider, 24-year-old Milan Rana of Damauli, Tanahun, residing in Ghattekulo, has suffered injury after his motorcycle overturned after hitting Subba.

The rider is being treated at the Maharajganj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
