Meeting of ruling alliance underway in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the top leaders of five ruling parties is underway in Baluwatar in a bid to sort out the problems on allocation of seats among them for the November 20 elections to House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

The meeting is discussing the report presented by the five-party taskforce and give it a final shape.

Taskforce member and Secretary of Janamorcha, Himlal Puri, informed that the top leaders’ meeting had not been able to fully finalize the seat sharing.

He, however, said few points were yet to be sorted out on seat allocation under the election of the House of Representatives.

Earlier, the political parties had held internal and inter-party meeting on Tuesday morning.

The Election Commission had already made public the schedule as per which the political parties are to file the candidacies on October 9 for HoR and Provincial Assembly elections.

Before this, the ruling alliance needs to finalize the list of candidacies from their sides after concluding the seat sharing.
