Poor families get food stuffs and cash to celebrate Dashain



HETAUDA: Chairperson of Manahari rural municipality in Makawanpur district, Ranjan Kalakheti, has provided food stuffs and cash to poor and backward families.

Chair Kalakheti provided food stuffs worth Rs 300,000 to the poor and backward families, thinking it would be easy for poor and backward families to celebrate festival.

He said that he reached the houses of poor families of ward no 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8 and provided 30 kilograms of rice, one litre of edible oil and lentil to each family.

Kalakheti, however, also provided cash to some poor families. On the occasion, he expressed commitment to spend the salary he gets during his five-year term as the chairperson for the support of poor and backward families.
