Citizenship bill tabled in HoR meeting



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2079BS that was endorsed and sent by the National Assembly was tabled in Sunday’s meeting of the House of Representatives.

Earlier, President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned the bill to the parliament for reconsideration.

The National Assembly, the upper house, on Friday passed the bill with majority votes without any amendments and returned it to the lower house, said the HoR secretary Gopal Nath Yogi.
