Nepal sees 142 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 142 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 116 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 26 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,450 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,756 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,694 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,528 active cases in the country as 230 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,007 to date.
