NEPSE gains 6.68 points to close at 1,977.30 on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has gained 6.68 points to close at 1,977.30 points on Sunday, the first trading day of this week.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index also went up by 0.57 points to settle at 383.77 points.

A total of 2,876,288 units of shares of 227 companies changed hands via 26,046 transactions, resulting in turnover of 1.07 billion.

Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited was the top gainer for the day and gained the highest 10 percent while Support Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the biggest loser that shed 2.86 percent in the secondary market today.

Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited was the top stock by No of Transactions, recording 1,814 transactions. Similarly, the promoter shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited was the top stock by Shares Traded, recording trade of 202,424 units of shares.

Likewise, Ridi Power Company Limited was the top stock by turnover, registering Rs 89 million of turnover in the secondary market today.

All sectors closed green with minimal gains, except for Hotels And Tourism, Mutual Funds, Manufacturing and Processing and Others today.
