NC candidates recommended for all six constituencies of Morang



KATHMANDU: The Morang district committee of Nepali Congress (NC) has recommended potential candidates for all six constituencies in Morang district.

According to Modraj Ghimire, secretary of the district committee, the party has recommended four leaders for Morang-1, two for Morang-2, one for Morang-3, five for Morang-4, two for Morang-5 and four for Morang-6.

The committee has recommended Dig Bahadur Limbu, Ram Prasad Pokharel, Arti Baral and Jaya Dharma Acharya for Morang-1. Limbu is the chairperson of the party’s Morang district committee.

Similarly, Minendra Rijal and Sujata Koirala have been recommended from Morang-2. Rijal is the sitting lawmaker from the constituency, while Koirala is the daughter of former party president late Girija Prasad Koirala.

Likewise, the district committee has recommended Dr Sunil Sharma as the candidate for Morang-3. Sharma is the promoter of Nobel Medical College among other health institutions in the country.

Along with Dr Shekhar Koirala, who leads the anti-establishment faction in the party, the committee has recommended Dr Dila Sangraula, Ramesh Jung Rayamahi and Shiva Kumar Basnet for Morang-6.

Mahesh Acharya, Amrit Aryal, Bhim Parajuli, Gururaj Ghimire and Dilip Gachchhadar have been recommended for Morang-4, while the district committee has recommended the names of Amrit Aryal and Hasan Ansari for Morang-5.

For Morang-6 – the electoral constituency of NC leader Dr Shekhar Koirala, the district committee has recommended four names.

Along with Koirala, the committee has recommended Dr Dila Sangraula, Ramesh Jung Rayamahi and Shiva Kumar Basnet for the constituency.
