KATHMANDU: The government has given the responsibility of Finance Secretary to Krishnahari Pushkar for the time being.
Pushkar, who is also the revenue secretary at the Ministry, will shoulder responsibilities of both secretary posts until another secretary arrives.
The Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday entrusted the Finance Ministry’s revenue secretary Pushkar with the task of managing the economy as well.
The meeting has transferred Finance Secretary Madhukumar Marasini to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Marasini had been on leave since last Sunday and had not gone to the Ministry of Finance.
