Govt decides to hold federal, provincial elections on Nov 20

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to hold the federal and provincial elections in a single phase on November 20.

A Council of Ministers meeting held on Thursday decided to this effect.

Earlier on Wednesday, the top leaders of the ruling coalition had agreed to hold federal and provincial elections on the date.

Last week, Chief Election Commission Dinesh Thapaliya had also urged not to be surprised if the cabinet decided to hold the federal election on November 20.
