NEPSE loses 9.75 points on Monday, registers highest turnover since March



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has lost 9.75 points today (Monday) and closed at 2,076.67 points.

The index had gained 57.61 points yesterday, Sunday.

Opening at 2095.62 points today, the market made an intraday high of 2,148.61 points and an intraday day low of 2,059 points. However, before the market closed, the index settled at 2,076.67 points.

A total of 10,981,591 shares of 234 companies were traded via 75,790 transactions, resulting in total turnover of Rs 4.349 billion. This is the highest transaction since March 27, 2022.

Even in the declining market, the price of CYC Nepal Microfinance has seen a positive circuit. The value of companies including Nyagdi Group Power, Samling Power, Salt Trading, and Bishal Bazar Company rose.

Shares of companies including Global IME Debenture, Union Hydropower, and Green Life Hydro declined sharply.

Shivam Cement had the highest turnover on Monday.
