As many as 42,000 foreign tourists visit Nepal in March

KATHMANDU: More than 42,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal in March this year.

According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) quoting the Immigration Department, a total of 42,006 tourists entered Nepal by air in March.

In March last year, 14 thousand 977 tourists had visited Nepal.

The tourist arrivals in March this year are the highest since the Covid pandemic.

Foreign tourist arrivals have been steadily increasing since the first month of this year.

In January 2022, as many as 16 thousand 975, and 19 thousand 766 foreign tourists entered Nepal in February.

Due to the mountaineering season in Nepal, the number of foreign tourists has increased.

A significant number of foreigners come to Nepal for spring mountaineering.
