Ambassadors pray for peace in Ukraine by lighting candles at Boudhanath Stupa



KATHMANDU: Ambassadors of various countries have lit candles at Boudhanath Stupa, in Boudha, Kathmandu on Thursday evening wishing for peace in Ukraine.

Ambassadors of various countries to Nepal lit candles praying for peace as Russia continues its aggression against Ukraine.

Ambassadors from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Switzerland and Finland, among others, reached Boudhanath yesterday evening to pray for peace in Ukraine. Russia and Ukraine have been at war for the past nine days.

US Embassy in Kathmandu shows its support to Ukraine on Friday.

Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Kathmandu also expressed its support to the Ukrainian people by putting up a large banner that read: ‘United with Ukraine’ outside the embassy on Friday.
