Madhes Press Council chair Bhattarai found dead



KATHMANDU: Shivhari Bhattarai, chairman of Madhesh Pradesh Press Council, has been found dead.

Lalbandi passed away while he was in Patharkota to participate in the general meeting of Sarlahi branch of Nepal Journalist Federation.

Bhattarai, who slept after eating at the ‘Rati Holiday Resort’, was found dead in the morning.

As he did not turn in to the program venue of the general assembly, Bhattarai was searched everywhere and was found dead in his room. He was found with medicines in his hand and medicines scattered in the room.

Bhattarai is also the founding president of Saptari branch of Nepal Journalists Federation and former central vice president of Nepal Journalists Federation.

The police are investigating for further details.
