Hearing on rape case against Lamichhane to continue on Friday



KATHMANDU: The hearing on the rape case against the suspended captain of Nepal’s National Cricket Team, Sandeep Lamichhane, is to continue on Friday.

The hearing on the case will continue on Friday as the closing arguments of the case against Lamichhane could not be completed even today.

Today, eight lawyers argued on behalf of defendant Lamichhane.

The court on Tuesday recorded statements in connection with the rape case against Lamichhane that was registered at the Kathmandu District Court on October 31.

As many as 17 people, including four public prosecutors and 11 lawyers, have participated in the detention debates as of Thursday.

Kathmandu District Court Judge Madhav Prasad Ghimire’s bench has now been adjourned for tomorrow after the debate could not be concluded.
