Nepal sees 49 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 49 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases, 45 cases were detected through the RT-PCR method and four through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,312 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the total samples 1,363 were tested through RT-PCR and 949 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 575 active cases in the country as 23 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
