Police nab two for smuggling body parts of bear



KATHMANDU: The police have made public two persons arrested with body parts of a bear amid a press conference in Kathmandu on Sunday.

A team from the Central Investigation Bureau arrested one Hari Om Rasaili of Panini Rural Municipality-2 in Argakhanchi district and Bhajindra Darji of Butwal Sub Metropolitan City-3 in Rupandehi district from Gokaneshwor Municipality-5 in Kathmandu for smuggling and selling body parts of a bear.

Bear is protected animal in Nepal.

Both of the arrestees were sent to the Division Forest Office, Hattisar for investigations, said Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar Mahato, also a spokesperson for the Bureau.
