President worried over yawning trade deficit

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said Nepal could not be a self-reliant country unless its economy developed well.

She said it during a meeting with the newly elected office-bearers of the Nepal Youth Entrepreneurs’ Forum at her residence, Shitalniwas, on Sunday.

It is urgent to formulate proper policy and solve the problems facing entrepreneurs and industrialists.

It is worrying that country has imported agricultural products of billions of rupees, she said, applauding the youths’ activism for entrepreneurship.
